Hanahasu Park
Experience Lotus Flowers through More than Just Their Beauty
Hanahasu Park is located in a town famous for growing lotus flowers. The park’s Lotus Festival runs from late June through early August. During the Lotus Festival, visitors can enjoy a variety of lotus-themed experiences, including dyeing fabric using a lotus-flower dye, or drinking beverages poured into a lotus leaf by using the stem as a straw. On festival nights, the park is lit up with many lotus-shaped lamps, creating a magical atmosphere.
The park is known for its vast ponds full of lotuses, with some 130 varieties from around the world. The flowers come into full bloom on summer mornings.
