TRIP.COM CAMPAIGN

CAMPAIGN DETAILS

Visitors from Zhejiang Province who book a stay at a participating accommodation through Trip.com will receive a gift exchange coupon. Download and show the coupon to the front-desk staff of any participating hotel at check-in to receive a set of lacquered Wakasa chopsticks for each person on the booking.

*Download the coupon before arriving in Japan to avoid any connectivity issues.
*Gifts are limited to one per person.

Coupon holders will be granted free admission to the permanent exhibitions at the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, the Ichijodani Asakura Family Site Museum, the Fukui Prefectural Varve Museum, the Fukui Prefectural Museum of Ceramics, and the Echizen Old Kiln Museum.
Simply show your coupon at the ticket counter of any eligible museum to gain free admission. If you are unable to show your coupon for any reason, you will need to purchase an admission ticket.
Please check the website of each museum for information on opening hours, holidays, etc.

    Enjoy the lace-like patterning of the paper in this Yanase washi set. The paper is all handmade and the patterning is created using a traditional technique that involves spraying or sprinkling the surface of the paper with water during the production process.

Agreement

Please carefully read the terms and conditions of the Inbound Public Relations Campaign (hereinafter referred to as “the Campaign”) operated by the Inbound Public Relations Campaign Office (hereinafter referred to as “the Office”) before participating. By participating, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.

Overview

1. Free Giveaway

  • A gift will be given to international visitors who show the Campaign page on the Enjoy Fukui website to hotel staff at the time of check-in at selected accommodations.
  • A gift will be given to visitors from Zhejiang, China, who show the Campaign coupon issued by Trip.com to hotel staff at the time of check-in at selected accommodations.

2. Social Media Campaign

A gift will be given to international visitors who upload a photograph they took at a tourist attraction in Fukui Prefecture to Instagram, Facebook, Weibo, Moments, Xiaohongshu, or Douyin and show the post to staff at a designated exchange counter.

Giveaway Gifts

1. Free Giveaway

Eligible participants will receive either a pair of lacquered Wakasa chopsticks, an Echizen washi paper set, a Yanase washi paper set, or a wooden coaster with an auspicious motif.
A total of 5,000 gifts are available: 4,000 will be given to participants on a first-come, first-served basis; and 1,000 will be set aside for participants from Zhejiang Province, China.
*Participants cannot choose the gift.
*Gifts may change without prior notice.
*The Campaign will end once stock runs out, even if it is during the Campaign period.

2. Social Media Campaign

Eligible participants will receive a dinosaur magnet.
There are 2,500 magnets, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

*Gifts may change without prior notice.
*Exchange counters may have different opening hours and availability of stock. Once the stock runs out at any given counter, it will not be replenished.

Eligibility for Participation

1. Free Giveaway

  • International visitors.
  • Persons who agree to the Campaign terms.
  • Persons who agree to the verification of their country of origin with a passport or other means at the time of participation.
  • Persons from Zhejiang who book participating accommodations through Trip.com and obtain a coupon for the Campaign.

2. Social Media Campaign

  • International visitors (including international residents of Japan).
  • Persons who agree to the Campaign terms.
  • Persons who agree to the verification of their country of origin with a passport or other means of identification at the time of participation.
  • Persons who have their own public social media account.

Method of Receipt

1. Free Giveaway

  • Show the Campaign page on the Enjoy Fukui website to hotel staff at the time of check-in at a designated accommodation to receive your gift.
  • Show the Campaign coupon issued by Trip.com at the time of check-in at a designated accommodation to receive your gift (Zhejiang residents only).

2. Social Media Campaign

  • Take a photo at a tourist attraction in Fukui Prefecture, post it with one of the hashtags #fukui, #enjoyfukui, or #japantravel on social media, and show the post to the staff at one of the designated exchange counters to receive your gift.

Notes

  • The Campaign may be changed, suspended, or terminated at any time at the Office's discretion.
  • Communication fees, etc. associated with inquiries about the Campaign will be borne by the participants of the Campaign.
  • Matters not stipulated in these terms will be decided at the discretion of the Office.
  • Participants shall comply with the Office's operational policies and shall not raise any objections.
  • Participation will be invalidated if the Office determines that fraud has been committed.
  • The Social Media Campaign is not affiliated with or sponsored by Instagram, Facebook, or any other social media platform.
  • Participation will be invalidated if actions are taken that go against the terms and conditions of the Campaign, Instagram, Facebook, or any other social media platform (such as using fake accounts, impersonating someone else, using multiple accounts, etc.).
  • The Office will not handle inquiries about internet connectivity, use of social media, etc., which are prerequisites for participation in the Campaign. All expenses and responsibilities will be borne by the participants of the Campaign.
  • The Office will not be responsible for, nor will it get involved in, any disputes that arise between the participant and a third party related to the social media post. All expenses and responsibilities related to such disputes will be borne by the participants of the Campaign.
  • Participation may not be possible due to technical issues, such as internet connectivity, problems with devices, OS, browsers, etc.
  • The Campaign is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and will end once stock runs out, even if it occurs within the Campaign period.
  • Be aware that exchange counters may have different operating hours and availability of stock.
  • The poster must hold all copyrights and other rights for the media they post.
  • If posting media that contains copyrights and/or image rights of others, consent from the third-party rights holder must be obtained.
  • The following posts are prohibited:
    • Posts of images/videos taken/uploaded without the subject's consent.
    • Posts containing false or misleading information.
    • Posts that slander others.
    • Posts for commercial purposes or religious solicitations.
    • Posts containing identifiable personal information.
    • Posts of images/videos already published in other printed materials or exhibitions.
    • Acts contrary to public order, morals, or common sense, or any other acts similar to those listed above.

Prohibited Acts

  • Any act that interferes with the operation of the Campaign.
  • Any act that violates the terms of use of any of the social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) or the law.
  • Any act that causes or may cause Campaign coupons issued by Trip.com to be used by anyone other than the eligible participant (including the transfer or resale of coupons).

Handling of Personal Information

Personal information provided will be used for the implementation of the Campaign and as non-identifying statistical information. It will not be used for any other purpose. Personal information will not be disclosed or provided to third parties without consent (except as required by law).
